Westone Labs’ partner Gennum (www.gennum.com/audio) SD1 IEM ambient system employs a different approach, with the mics in the end of the cable, at the two-prong connector allowing the system to be used with many popular custom molds. The pack employs a nine-pin LEMO and dual-concentric volume pots for molds and mics. Pressing the knob steps through up to four presets. These can be tweaked by connecting the pack to a PC via USB to adjust dual-mono six-band EQ and two-band compression on both mics and molds, plus a limiter.
